The students had to come up with an innovative idea for a project in the Martinsville/Henry county area. This project culminated in creating “Helpful Kits” for survivors of domestic violence. The ladies who will be leaving the shelter to go to safe housing will be given a basket of bathroom necessities to take with them to give them a good start at a new home! Students created flyers, gathered donations and created kits. They also provided a link on Amazon for other donations for kits to go directly to the shelter, creating a continual process for “Helpful Kits” to support survivors of domestic violence in their community!!
