  • Become an International Student Roommate!

    Becoming the roommate of an international student is a great opportunity to learn about a different culture while also introducing a peer to life on an American university campus. To become an international student roommate for 2012-2013, complete the application and return it to the RCL by February 20, 2012.

     
  • Culinary Adventures in Spain!

    This fall semester Longwood student Avrielle Suleiman will be blogging about her epicurean experiences while studying abroad in Valencia Spain.  Foodies can click on the link to visit her blog, College Nom Noms!
     
  • Practicum 2 In Ireland

    Fulfill all the requirements for Practicum 2 (EDUC 370) while experiencing Ireland! Students will be participating with instruction, student assessment, attending parent-teacher meeting and more, while also visiting sites of cultural and historic significance in Ireland.

     
  • Practicum 2 In Spain!

    Spend 4 weeks at the British-run Caxton College in Valencia, Spain completing the requirements for Practicum 2 (EDUC 370)! The program will also include a trip to Granada, historical sites and beaches! More information can be found here.
     
  • General Education Summer Abroad in Spain and Greece

    Spend a month this summer completing up to 4 General Education requirements in Spain and Greece! The program is based in the beautiful city of Valencia, which is the site of early Greek and Roman settlements and home to fabulous beaches! More information can be found here.

     
  • Become an International Student Buddy!

    Transitioning to a new cultural and academic environment can be tough! International Student Buddies ease the transition to Longwood, offer opportunities for social interaction and help their international student feel welcome. All Longwood undergraduate students are welcome to apply. For more information see our International Student Buddy Program website.

  • Remember that study abroad application materials (including scholarship applications) are due to the international affairs office by Wednesday, February 15.

  • 4th Annual French Film Festival, February 2-14
    All films are subtitled in English and free and open to the public. Each showing starts at 7:00PM. For more information about specific films and locations, go to http://blogs.longwood.edu/filmfestival/

  • International Coffee Hour Feb. 9 from 3:30-5:00 in Ruffner 148 "Leather Lounge"
    Chat with international students to encounter unique perspectives on the world and meet new friends. Open to the Longwood community. Refreshments and Starbucks coffee will be provided.
