Award Qualifications: Candidates must be in their first or second year at Longwood University. All candidates must have a 2.7 cumulative grade point average and be in good standing with the University.
The candidate for this award is a student who exemplifies honorable behavior and embodies the virtues of honesty, integrity, duty, good character, and rectitude in his/her daily life. Further, this person upholds the values of Longwood University and its honor code and serves as a model for others to follow.

The candidate for this award is a senior who, throughout their collegiate career, has been a model citizen leader and served as a positive role model for his/her peers. This person will have also displayed outstanding involvement and leadership in campus life and have contributed significantly to the general advancement of the interests of student affairs and Longwood University throughout his/her tenure at Longwood University.

The candidate for this award is a student whose behavior embraces civic responsibility and consistent, meaningful service to the community on a local, regional, national, or global level. These individuals have given of their time, talent, and efforts to contribute to the common good.

The candidate for this award is a current Longwood graduate student, or graduate student holding an assistantship at Longwood University, who exemplifies the virtues of commitment, dedication, service, civic responsibility, and scholarship through outstanding contributions in the areas of service to campus and community, leadership, involvement in campus life beyond the scope of typical assistantships and job responsibilities, and a commitment to diversity.
The NH "Cookie" Scott Trailblazer Award is given to a student who strives for academic excellence and social justice by encouraging their peers to explore and reflect upon their multiple identities, promoting awareness of greater social inequalities, and addressing social inequities on campus.
Award Qualifications: All candidates must have a 2.7 cumulative grade point average, be a current sophomore, junior or senior, and be in good standing with the University.
The Social Justice Program of the Year Award goes to a program that educated the broader campus community on social justice issues, challenged oppressive ideology, or increased awareness of privilege and celebrated diversity of thought, experiences, and culture.
Award Qualifications: Given to a recognized Longwood student organization during the current academic year and is in good standing with the University.
A faculty or staff member who goes above and beyond their expectations of an advisor. The award recipient is an integral part of the organization, serves as an enthusiastic supporter and shows dedication and commitment to the mission of the organization.
Award Qualifications: Candidates must be a registered faculty/staff advisor for a student organization for the current academic year and being an advisor is not part of their job responsibilities.
The candidate for this award is a faculty or staff member who exemplifies what it means to be a citizen leader by employing both his/her character, commitment to his/her values and sense of civic responsibility/duty to make a significant contribution on behalf of the community for the common good. (Longwood and surrounding community)
The Advocate of the Year Award is given to a faculty or staff member who is actively involved with incorporating multicultural elements into their academic curriculum or into the scope of their work at the university. The faculty or staff member is also a high contributor to the advancement and production of a healthy, inclusive environment at Longwood University.
Award Qualifications: Current Longwood Faculty or Staff member.
Student employment is an experience that involves a commitment and an involvement with the Longwood community that is valued by faculty, staff and students. Student employees are a vital resource and provide much of the creativity, energy and enthusiasm that make our departments successful. The student employment program helps in the development of citizen leaders and prepares students to make positive contributions to the campus, local community and the common good of society.
The Student Employee of the Year is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student in recognition of exceptional contributions to the department in which they work. The student has demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic and dedication to their job.
Award Qualifications: Candidate must be a student working in the Student Employee Program at Longwood University during the current academic year; be in good standing with the University and have a minimum 2.7 GPA.
A factor which influences the success of student employment is the quality supervision of student employees. The Supervisor of the Year is awarded to an outstanding faculty/staff member, who supervises one or more student employees, in appreciation for outstanding supervision and support through personal and professional development.
Award Qualifications: The candidate for this position serves as a supervisor to students working in the Student Employee Program during the current academic year. Student employees nominate candidates.
