Revised Smoking Policy
The revised policy extends the “Smoke-Free” zone to include the majority of the campus. Smoking will now be permitted only in designated outdoor areas where smoking huts have been installed. Additional huts have been ordered (see designated smoking areas). The new policy is designed to promote healthy lifestyles as well as to protect faculty, staff, and students from second-hand smoke, while addressing the growing litter problem on campus that is directly related to smoking.
