Missed Appointment

Purpose

The intent of the Attendance/Missed Appointment Policy is to prevent appointments from going unused.  Each time a student misses an appointment without providing notice, another student is prevented from receiving care.  With this policy, we encourage each student to be responsible and to understand the impact they have on other students.

Policy

As a participant at University Health, it is your responsibility to keep record of your scheduled appointment.  If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, we request that you cancel or reschedule at least 2 hours in advance if possible.  You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by (a) calling University Health at (434)395-2102 and speaking to a staff member or by leaving a message, (b) by canceling your appointment on the University Health web portal, or (c) coming to University Health at 106 Midtown in the Landings Complex (across from Subway).

Late Arrivals

If a student arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, the student will be given the opportunity to be rescheduled for another date, or to be worked into the schedule (with an estimated wait time given to the student)

No Show

A No Show is when a student does not show for a scheduled appointment without canceling or rescheduling the appointment.
