How Long is the RN to BSN  Program?

It will take 3 semesters or 1 calendar year to complete the program full time. As a part-time student, it will take 5 semesters or 2 calendar years to complete. But remember.....you will be working at least part-time, maintaining a home and possibly a family....so is there any hurry?

Now with that said.....you may need to complete additional general education courses that are required for a bachelor's degree from Longwood...so that time has not been factored in. You can certainly take these concurrently with the nursing courses or during the summer or break time.....all courses must be completed prior to graduation.

Is this an Online Program?

YES...it is a totally online program! Each semester is broken down into two 7-week blocks. Part-time students will take one course per block and full-time students will take two courses per block.

This program is a fit for me....when can I apply?

Each new cohort will begin every spring semester. The deadline for applications is November 1 of each year. Contact Jackie Daniel, RN to BSN program director if you have questions about the deadline: danieljs@longwood.edu.

Apply!

When will I know if I am accepted into the program?

Students are accepted as the applications are processed and reviewed. You'll hear from the Longwood Admissions Department in mid-December.

What kind of costs can I expect?
