Cost of Attendance is an estimated figure that reflects both direct costs, which are billed by the University, and indirect costs, which are part of the overall cost of attending Longwood, but not directly charged on the student bill.
Longwood uses the Cost of Attendance estimate to determine the amount of financial aid a student will receive.
Direct costs include tuition, housing, and median cost of a campus meal plan. These costs are approved by the Longwood Board of Visitors each Spring though generally does not get updated in the Cost of Attendance Estimate.
Indirect costs include books and supplies, personal expenses, and transportation. Actual expenses will vary among students based on several factors like course load, spending habits, living situation, and potentially individual course fees.

Full-time is considered 12 or more credits per semester.
Longwood offers Banded Tuition rates for undergraduate students. Students pay the same amount to take anywhere from 12-18 credits.
