The Longwood University Foundation aims to achieve a 10-year average annual return of 8%+ in order to provide steady, predictable funding for scholarships and programs.

To achieve this goal, the Foundation’s investment strategy and asset risk management are implemented through the use of qualified investment managers and self-directed investment allocations. Monies invested are diversified and rebalanced in line with asset allocation and risk mitigation policies. This allows the Foundation to grow its endowment at a pace to offset inflationary pressures while meeting scholarship, program and administrative funding needs.
