Each year, about 700 Longwood students work across campus in Dining Services, Campus Recreation, residence halls, Greenwood Library, the Joan Perry Brock Center and other departments and offices.
Student employment is a practical way to build skills, form connections and contribute to the Longwood community while earning money during the academic year.
All student employment positions are posted in the Student Employment Canvas Course.

After accepting employment, student employees must complete an electronic I-9 form and present documentation that confirms their identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
Longwood University uses the Equifax I-9 verification system to confirm identity and work authorization.
Use the following information when completing your I-9:
Before completing the form, review I9 Instructions (pdf) .
You will also need to review the list of i-9 Accepted Documents (pdf) and complete the electronic I-9 form.
If you do not provide your Social Security card as an I-9 document, the Office of Student Employment will need to obtain a copy of your Social Security card for payroll purposes. This is required to verify your name and Social Security number in the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll system.
You will not be placed on payroll or paid for hours worked until Student Employment has approved your Work Authorization.
To set up direct deposit, contact Payroll at (434) 395-2261.
Students must also use Cardinal to access individual earnings information, which replaces check stubs.
