Where to Find Us
User Support Services is located in the basement of the French Hall, which is located on High Street next to Tabb Hall.
Support options during the 2014 holiday break:
The Help Desk will be closed December 20th – January 4th. Assistance will be available each day of the break (to include weekends) with the exceptions of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Requests should be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your email should include a description of your issue and a contact phone number where you can be reached. A Help Desk technician will respond to requests between the hours of 10 am and 12 noon.
The Digital Education Collaborative (DEC) offices will be closed December 20th – January 4th. Requests for assistance during this time should be made viatelephone at (434) 395-4332 or email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Phone assistance will be available from 10 am until 6 pm each day of the break (to include weekends) with the exceptions of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.Email will be checked at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
The RTAs are easier to contact than ever! Students can now contact the RTAs for support via RTAConnect on the web at https://rta.longwood.edu. It is fast, easy and assessable to you via a computer, tablet or Smartphone!
Student Wireless Network Services
We are excited to announce that wireless connectivity from Shentel is now available in residence hall rooms and Longwood managed apartments! Students will use the Shentel username and password created during registration on the wired network to connect to Shentel wireless. Shentel’s wireless network is named Shentel WiFi. It is important to note that Longwood wireless is also available in some locations on campus (Library, Academic Buildings, Brock Commons, etc.). The Longwood wireless network is named LancerNet and is accessed using the LancerNet ID and password.
