Although Longwood is a state-funded institution, those funds cover less than 30% of our yearly budget. The rest comes mainly from gifts from alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations
Longwood's Office of Development reaches out to and maintains relationships with the donors – alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations – who are so important to sustaining the University.

Gifts to any annual fund are essential to expanding private funding, enhancing public perception, and enabling the continued success of our future citizen leaders.
