Materiel Management and Purchasing The Longwood University Materiel Management Department is responsible for all procurement for the University in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the regulations of the Department of General Services/Division of Purchases and Supply. Our goal is to ensure that goods and services purchased are of the proper quality, proper quantity, at the lowest available cost, and received within a reasonable period of time. No employee shall contractually commit the University without prior authorization.
