Students that squat their current apartment space for the 2023-2024 academic year will have the option to select 12-month housing. There is no additional housing cost to students to remain in housing over the summer term. Those eligible to select 12-month housing will receive an email from Residential & Commuter Life at the conclusion of housing registration with information on how to select this option.
During the summer of 2023, apartment renovations will be completed in Landings Northeast & Southeast, Lancer Park 204 building, Lancer Park Townhouses: 801A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-J-K. Due to these renovations, students that squat these units will be unable to register for 12-month housing or summer storage. However, these students will return to apartments that are renovated and will receive new living room and kitchen furniture.
Each lease will begin in May, following exams, and run through the following May. (May 2023 to May 2024) Residents not renewing their 12-month lease are expected to depart 24 hours after their last exam or upon residence hall closure.
Residents returning to the same assignment, but do not wish to participate in 12-month housing, will still be eligible to participate in the summer storage program. The summer storage program allows residents to keep their belongings within their assigned bed space during the summer term at no additional cost. Those eligible will receive an email from Residential & Commuter Life with information regarding the program at the conclusion of housing registration.
Eligible students that select the 12-month housing option or the summer storage option, will not be charged an additional cost for the summer term. This provides students with value and convenience to meet their housing needs.
