Longwood University's Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life offers opportunities for students to get engaged, lead, learn and serve in the community.
Our office advises and provides guidance to the three governing councils:
We recognize 23 national Greek-letter fraternities and sororities, which make up 24 percent of our community. Students in these groups attain the highest level of academic achievement and, most importantly, uphold the Longwood Honor Code.
Longwood's social fraternities and sororities promote:
Each organization provides opportunities for its members to receive scholarships and grants based on academic merit and chapter leadership.
What differentiates these organizations from others is their lifetime membership. While the Greek experience is often focused on the college years, alumni members are essential to our organizations.
