Arc Hall

On Thursday, August 17, residents must access this residence hall from S. Main, taking Wynne Drive to Race Street and then to Franklin Street to Griffin Blvd.  Campus Police will route traffic to the Griffin Blvd. entrance of Arc Hall.  Should traffic back-up on Griffin Blvd., please pull to the right shoulder of the street and wait patiently to advance to unload.  A minimal number of unloading spaces are available on Redford St.

Cox

On Thursday, August 17, residents must access this residence hall from S. Main, taking Wynne Drive to Race Street and then to Franklin Street to Griffin Blvd.  Students may unload at the curbing on Griffin Boulevard (North Bound Lane, closest to Cox Hall) from Madison Street West to the service entrance to Wheeler Hall. This is a special arrangement with the Town of Farmville during opening that reduces the risk of crossing Griffin Blvd.  Residents may also park in the parking lots located behind Wheeler/Cox Hall, located off Griffin Blvd.  A minimal number of unloading spaces are available on Madison Street.  On Thursday, August 17, residents will be permitted to briefly unload on the sidewalk in front of Cox Hall.  This special traffic flow process will be monitored by the Campus Police and the Movers and Shakers. Vehicles may not be left unattended.

Curry/Frazer

On Thursday, August 17, residents must access this residence hall from S. Main, taking Wynne Drive to Race Street and then to Franklin Street.  Campus Police will route one-way traffic to unload in front of these residence halls on Spruce Street.  Vehicles will not be permitted to enter campus on Redford Street.  On the morning of August 17 (9:00am-noon), vehicles for Curry/Frazer residents will be directed to park in the Venable Street or Virginia Street lots. Afternoon vehicles (noon-3pm) will be directed to the Wynne parking lot. Vehicles may not be left unattended.

Lancer Park

Lancer Park has only one entrance that is located off Third Street.  Use the entrance bridge, entering this apartment community on Cormier Drive. Check-ins will be held in the Lancer Park Brown Commons.

Longwood Landings

Enter the Longwood Landings community (at Midtown Square) only from Putney Street, turning from South Main Street at the McDonald’s.  Campus Police will direct traffic one-way to the designated unloading areas.  Please use your flashers when unloading your vehicle.  After unloading, promptly move your vehicle to the Vernon Street or Virginia Street parking lots.  Check-ins will be held in the Landing’s Southeast Building. 

Longwood Village

Enter the Longwood Landings community (at Midtown Square) only from Putney Street, turning from South Main Street at the McDonald’s.  Campus Police will direct traffic one-way to the designated unloading areas.  Please use your flashers when unloading your vehicle.  After unloading, promptly move your vehicle to the Vernon Street or Virginia Street parking lots.  Check-ins will be held in the Landing’s Southeast Building. 

Register/Sharp Hall

Residents must access these residence halls from S. Main, taking Wynne Drive to Race Street. Campus Police and student volunteers will monitor the traffic flow on Race Street.  A minimal number of unloading spaces are also available on Vine St. and Redford St.

South Ruffner

Residents should enter Madison Street from South Main Street.  Students will be routed through the parking lot between Graham and the Hiner/Coyner Complex.

Stubbs

Students may unload at the curbing on Griffin Boulevard (North Bound Lane, closest to Stubbs Hall) from Redford Street West to Madison Street. This is a special arrangement with the Town of Farmville during opening that reduces the risk of crossing Griffin Boulevard.  Residents may also park in the parking lots located behind Stubbs Hall/Cox Hall, located off Griffin Blvd.   A minimal number of unloading spaces are available on Madison Street or Redford St.

Wheeler
