Just about everybody who’s anybody has played at Spring Weekend—from Taylor Swift to the Ramones to Dierks Bentley. The annual fun-filled weekend is much anticipated each year, especially two of Longwood’s most fun (and spiciest) traditions: oozeball and the chili cook-off.
Vollyball + mud = oozeball.
In other words, it’s the most fun, dirty and crazy time you can imagine. And every year students form teams and compete in an oozeball tournament at Spring Weekend.
Get those pots bubbling away!
We’re all lined up to taste some of Longwood’s finest recipes and crown a winner of the spiciest, most lip-smacking chili at the ’Wood!
How much swag can you handle?
Spring Weekend wouldn’t be the same without student organizations setting up shop in rows of booths, offering games, giveaways and information about how to join—a must-visit centerpiece of the weekend.
Are you ready for the country? Want the funk?
Whatever type of music you’re into, Longwood has hosted it at a Spring Weekend concert—which really is more like a mini festival. The music starts early in the afternoon and goes late into the night.
Friday, April 7 - Saturday, April 8
This year's theme is "Life's a Beach," and we'll have plenty of novelties, student organization booths and of course, bands—Bowling for Soup, Smallpools, Ying Yang Twins and more! WMLU Bandfest will kick off the weekend tradition on Friday.
